When the FT-86 concept was first revealed, many were hooked on the styling of the new car coming from Toyota and Subaru’s collaboration, including Eddie. He had been debating moving on from his Toyota Soarer for a while, then when starting a new job at Birchwood Hyundai he was faced with a 2013 Subaru BRZ in silver. By his second day on the job, it was time for a test drive, then in a mere seven days later it was time for the BRZ to come home.
Unfortunately, many have had their lives impacted by cancer. Having lost his grandparents at a young age Eddie has taken the cause to heart.
The car was wrapped by Bomex Graphics in a 3M “Raspberry Fizz” vinyl, and in exchange for a donation you’re invited to sign the car as a show of support for both Eddie and CancerCare Manitoba.
With the season just getting started, we’re glad to see Eddie’s car receiving recognition quickly through the local radio and news outlets. We can’t wait to see the whole car covered in signatures.

Here in Manitoba, the import scene continues to grow, but the muscle cars still rule the community with the majority of shows being aimed at the classics. There are, however, some that are trying to bridge the gap. Adam, grew up rooted in classics, Chevy’s specifically, with his dad owning an El Camino and Chevelle; both ’72s. Adam spent Sunday cruise nights out admiring the vehicles and dreaming that one day he’d have a cruise night car of his own somewhere down the road.
Fast forward to about 3 years ago and Adam was looking for a car, after hearing radio ads while driving for work during the day he felt drawn to check out a Subaru. It was the first turbocharged sports car he’d driven and was sold on it. Since then the car has come a ways from it’s factory form. With front and rear areo from AeroFlow Dynamics and ISC Suspension coilovers the car was sitting just right in time for World of Wheels.
With his roots in the classic car scene, Adam is actively trying to bridge the gap between enthusiasts, young and old alike. You’ll find Adam at nearly every show this season, taking the chance to get to know more about both old muscle and new imports. With future plans potentially including a wide body kit, built motor, or complete color change, for now the biggest plan is just enjoying the car as it is.
