The story of Kyle’s (aka. Boostie) WRX goes way back to his arrival in Winnipeg, and the sighting of a white ’04 STi. The sound of that car haunted Kyle until he finally gave into the Subaru bug and found his sedan. As most do, Kyle eventually found himself on local car forums, which is where he got his nickname Boostie. With no shortage of opinion or advice Kyle sought out which direction he’d like to take the car for it’s first summer in the car scene.
Of course, this included the obligatory Subaru mod’s, Stage 2 (aftermarket downpipe and a reflash), Rally Armor mud flaps, and Hella Supertones. But, that wasn’t all, the car also received Bilstein struts and Racecomp springs for a mild drop.
With most cars either in winter-mode, in storage, or just coming out of storage it’s safe to say we’re all missing car show season.
I was going through footage from last season and put together a little something from last season when a couple guys from the Motive crew attended Driven, the show alternates between Winnipeg and Calgary every year, and is generally the biggest showing of imports under one roof, at least near us.
We’ve grown quite a bit from last year and cannot wait to get out to shows again this year. We’re particularly excited for Winnipeg Speedfest. Can’t wait to see what everyone is bringing out this year, it’s going to be another exciting season!
